I visited several jewelers, including those in Oswego. JP Jewelers was the only jeweler (including those with goldsmiths) that was willing to add stones and remake my rings as I wanted. Everyone else wanted me to buy a new ring for twice the amount JP Jewelers charged. I ended up with rings that were beautifully crafted and balanced with new stones added for half the cost others wanted to charge. Everyone I worked with was excited for my ideas and took all the time needed to be sure they understood what I was looking for. Thanks!
Amazing service at this place. The owner obviously knows his stuff and its very apparent he also loves his craft. They have a great selection in-shop. When they don't have exactly what you're looking for, they seem to do whatever they can to get you what you want. I shopped around at other local jewelry stores in town and all seemed to be more concerned about selling me what they had in stock rather than what I, the customer, really wanted.
This firm has always been honest and trustworthy with me. The owner has given excellent advice and professional service to the needs I presented. Price, service, quality, and professionalism have always been superb! I have dealt with many firms over the years, but this business caters to the local town and the needs and desires of its patrons. I have been shopping at JP's for almost 5 years now, and I could not be happier with them! Their offers for buying scrap/old jewelry are higher than anyone else I've dealt with. Although the quality of their new or custom-fabricated pieces is second to none, the prices are dramatically lower than any chain retailers and many independently-owned businesses as well. Jamie and Kevin will always take the time to ensure you get exactly what you want, and make you feel welcome and comfortable while you're there. If you want a custom item, Leanne is FANTASTIC and has given me back pieces that are consistently beautiful, well thought out, and attention grabbing.
I purchased an engagement ring for my girlfriend in Dec. 2016 here. And, since my lady friend has such specific needs/wants/tastes, they were able to assemble exactly what I wanted to get her. I was able to select the stone within my price range, and pick out the setting/band itself. They had it ordered and assembled within 4 days - all in-house. It was flawless and exactly what I wanted to get her. It looked like it was made by a machine...it was THAT precise. The most impressive part is that it needed an adjustment and they were happy to take the ring and adjust it within 24 hours free of charge just to make sure it was perfect. And to think I would have been happy to pay an extra fee for the adjustment...
